Columbus Day...Let the sickness begin...

If there is a holiday, chances are someone is going to be sick!
Well on Columbus Day, two of the three girls woke up with fever, so to the doctor we went!
What a day!
Lola had an ear infection.

Lily had a fever virus!  Her third one in six weeks!

So instead of going out and about on our holiday, we stayed put and got a whole lot of nothing done.  The girls were excited though to wear their new outfits Grandmother sent to them!

We took meds, meds, and more meds....

and played!

What a great holiday!  ;)

15 months old!!!

Lola,

WOW!  Time flies!  I can't believe you are already 15 months old.  You are growing up and getting to be a little girl more and more each day instead of a baby.  You have taken off!  After your few steps at your 1st birthday party, it didn't take you long to go from crawling to walking and now to RUNNING!  You are a very busy little girl and you keep up with everyone's every move!  We have to watch you closely because you LOVE to climb!  I can turn my back for one minute and turn back around and you are on top of a table.  You adore your sisters and can hold your own.  If you want something, you get it!  (Even if it involves pulling hair or biting!  :( )  You have a mouth full of teeth...in the last couple of months, you have gotten in your 12 month molars and several other top and bottom teeth.  I think more appear each week!  You are full of words and try to say whatever anyone else says!  You can even say "princess"!  Your favorite thing to say is "DADDY" and "PACI".  When you get excited, you even call me "Daddy" even though you can say "Mama".  You can say "shh" and "nice" and point your finger.  You have a sweet voice, and I love to hear it.  You are so friendly and happy!  You love to wave, blow kisses, and hug.  You LOVE to be held and if someone isn't holding you, you will hold onto their legs until they pick up even if they are trying to walk!  We finally took away your very last night time bottle.  You did great!  I know it was harder on Mama than you.  :(  You LOVE milk and prefer it over juice.  You love to eat and will eat just about anything!  The one thing you don't love is corn.  Your favorite breakfast food is mini pancakes and banana.  You love green beans and marshmellows!  You love school and blow me kisses and wave bye-bye when I leave.  When I come to pick you up, you run to me about to cry (I hope because you are excited!).  You have learned how to sleep on a cot at school.  You love bath time, playing with baby dolls, and BOOKS.  You follow directions VERY well and do things we tell you to do.  You still wear a size 4 diaper and are wearing 18 month clothing.  You are wearing a size 3 shoe.  Today you went for your check-up.  Here are your stats:
Weight:  24 lbs. (75th percentile)
Length:  31 1/4 inches (75th percentile)
Head Circumference:  18 3/4 (90-97th percentile)

We love you so much, sweet Lola!
We love watching you grow and learn new things each day!

Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh....

At Pooh Corner.....
Yesterday the girls and I went to see WINNIE THE POOH at the movies!!
Yes...I took all three! (This was Lola's first trip!)  Thankfully we met some sweet friends that could help me!  Lyla loved it...her favorite character she said was Eeyore because he is sad and she could cheer him up!  Lily's favorite is Pooh of course!  Well, for Lola, who knows?  But she loved the music!  Lily and Lola made it through the movie except for the last 15 minutes.  (If there were not 30 minutes of previews, they would have made it!!)  If you haven't seen this movie, it is a cute story about Eeyore being in search of his missing tail!
We can't wait to see it again!

Not the best pictures....the girls didn't really feel like posing!
Oh and it was $1 popcorn and $1 drink - what a treat!!

When we got home, the girls couldn't wait to rummage through
our stuff animals to find our Pooh Bears!!

One Year Old Stats!!

Lola,

I can't believe you are already one!  This year has flown by!  You are a blessing to our family, and the icing on the cake.  You are so fun these days, and there really is not a shy bone in your body!  You wave and smile at everyone you see.  You are constantly babbling and are pretty good at communicating what you want.  You can say "ma ma" and "da da" some what, and you love to shake your head YES!  You can also say "mine"!  (I bet I know where you learned that word!)  You are in to everything and pulling up.  You can stand alone and are beginning to take a few steps.  You can crawl really fast and love to go up the stairs!  If we put you in your walker, you are a nascar driver!  :)  You still love the water, and the pool is your new favorite thing!  YOU LOVE YOUR PACI!  You hide them at every turn!  You are wearing a size 4 diaper and 18 month clothing.  Your foot is still tiny - a size 2-3!  You still only have 4 teeth but that doesn't stop you.  You LOVE to eat!  REAL food is your favorite!  You will eat most anything we give you.  I haven't found anything you will turn away.  You are still drinking your bottle and refuse to give it up.  You throw the cup at me when we give it to you especially if it has milk inside!  You are beginning to drink some juice from a cup.  Your bottle must go soon, and in a few weeks we will be taking you off of your soy formula!  We will try regular milk first hoping we don't have to continue with soy!  You recently went for your one year old check-up.  Here are your stats:
Weight:  23 lbs.  (75th percentile -You are catching up with big sister Lily!)
Length:  29 1/2 (75th percentile)
Head Circumference:  18 1/4 (90th percentile - You get this from your daddy!)

We love you very much and can't wait to see what you do next!

Let the Party Begin!

We celebrated Lola Jewel's first birthday on Saturday, June 25 at our house.  We had a fun day with family and friends!  Here are some pictures from our day!

Big sisters are waiting patiently for the party to begin!  :)

Lola's friend Scarlett came to play, and Miss Brooke from daycare came too!  As people began to arrive, Lola got very clingy and quiet!  She didn't know what to think about all of the excitement.  Pretty soon though she wound up!

Family Picture...

Lunch time!  Lola enjoyed chicken and cheese!

Now it is cake time!!  "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!..."

Aunt Kathy and Uncle Rodger came...
 Mallory, Magill, and Molly...

Mrs. Amelia and Mr. Seth came too!  Lily hung out with them and found the cupcakes!

Present time!!  :)  Lola had many helpers!

Grandmother and Aub gave you a big water table!!

Mama, Daddy, Lyla, and Lily gave you your very own chair!!

You were so excited that you walked to Mama!!!  This was your first time to take 3-4 steps by yourself!!  We were so proud of you!

While Lola napped, the "BIG" girls and boys played with bubbles and such outside!

After Lola's nap, the girls played with "their" new water table.  They had a fun time!!

What a great day to celebrate your first birthday, Lola!
