More Family Fun!!

We headed to Grandmother and Aub's house for a few days for some more family fun!  Aub (Ashley's Daddy) is not doing very well, and it is hard for him to get out, so we loved being able to spend some time there with him.  The girls love him so much!  We had a great time...we made a couple of day trips with Grandmother to shop and just hung out at the house!  Ashley and I even had a "date night" which is very RARE these days.  We went to Mikata's (Japansese)!  Yummy!

One day, Aub gave the girls some money to "blow"!  :)  We made a trip to the Dollar Tree.  Boy, did they do some shopping!  They had so much fun.  Never have they been able to just buy whatever they wanted, but this time, I let them!  They were putting all kinds of things into the buggy...puzzles, books, mermaid doll, princess plates and bowls for Grandmother's house, stickers, and our most treasured find...RACE CARS!!!  They couldn't wait to get home to show Aub!

Lola "hit the jackpot" with some birthday money Aub and Grandmother gave her for her savings account!  They are so sweet to do this for her.  Good things come from turning "ONE"!

Aunt Cathy and Mema came to visit us too while we were there!

We had the best time and were pampered so much while we were visiting!  We were sad to leave but will be back to visit very soon!

Fun in the South!

We spent several days after our trip to the beach with Meme and Papa Charles at their house!  It was a nice place to relax and have a little fun.  We had some fun adventures and fantastic visits while we were there!

Meme, the girls, and I went to pick blueberries one day.  This is something I always have wanted to take Lyla to do!  She loves blueberries!  It was a great learning experience for her...we talked about how blueberries are grown and how they get to the grocery store.  After a HOT time picking not even a bucket full of berries, Lyla decided it was much easier to just go buy them at the grocery store!  :)

Lola loved picking them too!  She wanted to eat them instead of putting them in the bucket!

After cooling off, we went to visit Joan (my grandmother) and Tom!  They were so excited to see us.  I am so thankful for such special memories with them and am glad the girls are getting to know them!

We had MUCH playtime while we were at Meme and Papa Charles' house!

The BIGGEST milestone for Lyla happened while we were at Meme's!  Lyla began playing with their DOG!  If anyone knows Lyla, she has been terrified of DOGS since she turned 2.  Miraculously she decided she wasn't scared anymore.  We are so proud of her for being so brave!

Lily is still not sure of them and will run by...

Lola on the other hand LOVES dogs too!  She wants to get down with them and touch them (pull their hair) and acts like she is barking.  Too cute!

We also played in the yard.  Lily found the scarves and turned them into dress up clothes.  :)

We had a great time and were sad to leave.  As always good things must end, but we will go again very soon!  We love you, Meme and Papa Charles!
