On June 3 and 4 (the day after returning from Disney), it was Lyla's FIRST dance recital! She has been preparing for the recital ALL year. This year's recital was a Disney theme! How perfect for us! She participated in two dances, one ballet - It's a Small World and one tap - I've Got No Strings, and in the Finale show - MICKEY MOUSE. I wasn't sure how she would do getting on the big stage and dancing (since most times when I watched her in class, she just stood there), but she did great!!!!! On Friday, she had a FULL dress rehearsal. AND let me say, dance recitals are almost like getting ready for a pageant! Hair, make-up, costumes, etc. have to be just right!! I packed all of Lyla's things in a big tub to make sure we had everything. On Friday, Grandmother went with us to watch and to help. Friday was the only day we could make pictures on stage too!

After we were finished on Friday, I took her outside to get some individual pictures of her in her ballet costume.
