Dance

Lyla had her last dance class on Monday.  She has had a good time this year...some days she wanted to go and others not...but we made it through!  :)  She is the cutest ballet and tap dancer around and has some pretty cute friends too!  FINALLY, she let me watch her do her recital pieces and danced!  I was so surprised!  Every other time we were able to watch, she would just stand there!  That is progress!  Now we will have to wait and see how recital goes!  It will be so cute.  It is a Disney theme...her ballet piece is to "It's a Small World" and her tap piece is to "I've Got No Strings".
Until recital time...

11 Months Old and On the MOVE!!!

Lola Jewel is 11 months old today!  She is busier than ever and on the move to keep up with her sisters.  This week she found the stairs...we are in BIG trouble now.  The gates MUST stay closed because the minute we turn our backs she heads straight for the stairs!  She is getting more and more confidant cruising around furniture and has a big sister to help her "walk".  I am afraid walking is in our NEAR future!
Go LOLA!!

"Quick...no one is looking!!"

"I made it!"

"Can I make it again?"

"This is easy!"

"Surprise!!  I made it to the top!"

It's SO Daniel!

The children's musical was held at church this past Sunday.  Lyla was in it!  She participated in some of the songs and then acted as a "LION" for one of the songs.  Lyla is so funny...in the car or at home she will burst out in song and sing every word of songs we may or may not know.  BUT when it came time to perform...she was completely still and quiet!  Ashley called her the statue....she stood and sang not one word!  She told me before the program, "I am not singing...there are too many people out there!"  We are just proud that she got out there and played her part as the lion.  They were all cute no matter what they did!

Lyla,
Mama and Daddy are so proud of you!  We love you!

Lola's 10 Months!

Time flies by and my baby is growing up!  I can not believe that in a little more than a month we will be celebrating her 1st birthday.  Lola is doing new things everyday and is very busy trying to keep up with her two big sisters!
  • She is wearing 12-18 month clothing.
  • She is wearing size 4 diapers.  (She could probably still wear a size 3 but we bumped her up...it is easier to have 2 in the same size!  Yes...Lily wears a 4 too!)
  • She hates baby food and wants to eat everything her sisters eat!  I have to watch carefully or before I know it she is given all kinds of things.  She has even been given CHOCOLATE thanks to Lily!  She loves baby Gerber melts and cheese puffs!
  • She will only eat sweet potato apple in baby food for a vegetable.  All other veggies she spits out immediately!
  • She loves most fruits!  :)
  • She LOVES her bottle and her paci!  She is drinking soy formula.
  • She has 2 front bottom teeth and 2 top front teeth!
  • She can wave bye-bye and can say "HEY!"
  • She is making many sounds and sometimes it sounds like Mama and Dada.
  • She is pulling up to stand and is beginning to cruise around holding onto things.
  • Finally she is learning how to crawl on all fours instead of her "army" crawl.
  • She LOVES a bath in the big bathtub!  Bath time with her sisters is her favorite...she could stay in there all night!
  • She is beginning to discover drawers and that things are in them to pull out!
  • She has the best smile and cackle.  :)
  • Best of all, she wants to go to bed by 8 or 8:30 and sleeps ALL night until about 7:00 am!
Here are her pictures we had taken this month.  She is wearing the same dress Lyla and Lily wore at this same age.  It is amazing to see the resemblance when I compare the pictures!

Wordless Wednesday!

Lyla found her before we did and said,
"DADDY, Lily looks like a pirate!!!"

Never turn your back for one second!  HA!

Sorry for the quality of the picture...it was taken with our phone.

Art Show

This week was Lyla, Lily, and Lola's art show at their preschool.  ALL three of them had quite a bit of art displayed.  It is so special to have things made by them or with them at this young age.  Their teachers have all done a great job with them this year and have produced such keepsakes!  Lyla and Lily were quite proud to show me their pieces of work and to help find Lola's.

ICESKATING!

Lyla and I had our first taste of iceskating today!  We were invited to a sweet girl's 6th birthday party to have some WINTER fun before SUMMER begins.  Let me just say that Lyla and I have very weak ankles!  Ouch...they were hurting by the end!  :)
Lyla spent most of her time like this!
The wall was her best friend!
Mr. Dave saved the day by tightening our ice skates (that is the trick supposedly)!
Here is our sweet friend, the birthday girl!

Mr. Dave helps me take ONE trip around the rink!  Thank you!!!

What a fun mommy/daughter time we had!!

Cap Ball Season Comes to an End...

Lyla's last game of this year was today!  She has gotten so much better.  We are proud of her.  Today she hit the ball and actually "fielded" a ball!  Whoo Hoo!!!!  She can't wait to get her trophy for playing.  :)

Even her sweet teacher came to watch!
