3A State Champions!!!!!

Thursday, December 2 the Greenwave got the opportunity to play for the 3A state championship for the 2nd time in 3 years! This year it was held at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Ashley was thrilled to get the opportunity to coach in his favorite team's stadium!
Lyla was excited that she got to go with me to the game. I took the day off, and we made the exciting trip!
They let the Eagle fly before the game! I couldn't believe (being the AL fan that I am) that I was introducing Lyla to AU traditions. Again, Ashley was beyond thrilled! Here is a picture of the eagle after it had landed.
GO, Greenwave!!
Lyla getting ready to cheer on Daddy's team!
The coin toss...
And the game begins!! Roll, Greenwave, Roll!

And they did it again! They beat Hamilton 42-32 to become the state champions! What a great honor! Great job, team and coaches!

We are so proud of you, Daddy! We love you and enjoy cheering for your teams all the way!!
Whoo Hoo!!

Welcome...

ELLIE, the ELF!!
Ellie has returned for the 2nd year to the Carlisle house. The girls were thrilled! Here is our sweet friend, Ellie, who watches over us for Santa reporting if we are naughty or nice! :)
On December 1, the girls made a picture for Ellie hoping she would come for her crackers and water! To their surprise, she did! Lily couldn't believe it! "Crackers" she would say pointing to the empty plate.

Ellie moves around our house every night and leaves things for the girls every now and then. The 1st day she came, she brought Advent calendars for the girls. They love to get the chocolate out of the windows each day. The girls can't wait to find her each morning! What fun we have during the month of December!

Thanksgiving 2010 - Part 2

After eating lunch with Grandmother and Aub, it was time to head to see Meme and Papa Charles for Thanksgiving. The girls rode with me while Ashley took off ahead of us so he could go hunting. Thankfully all three of them slept almost the whole way! :)

When we arrived, everyone was waiting on us and the girls ran in to see Meme! They enjoyed a snack of marshmellows while Meme was finishing the sweet potatoes!
Uncle Mills and Joan greeted us also!
Then it was pool table time...
Lola taking part in her 1st Thanksgiving!

Then of course it was time again to make more memories!

Lola and Lyla with their cousin Eli (finally I got a smerk!)!!
Uncle Mark and Aunt Shell with Lily

Anmama and Mallory

All of the boys with Papa Charles and Papa included!

What a blessed time we had! We stayed a couple days and had such a great holiday.
I am so thankful for our wonderful family!

Thank you, Mrs. Jo! We love our new skirts!

Too Sweet for Words

I came across this poem that is too sweet for words!

An Angel Left Her Wing

I have this little angel. For me she left her wings.
She has no idea how much happiness she truly brings.
She brightens up my days with her smiles and her laughs.
She helps me to remember all the blessings that I have.

He face, it is so perfect, she's sweet and soft and pure.
Sometimes she can be willful and sometimes she is demure.
She tries her very hardest to please and do what's right.
She gives the greatest hugs from morning until night.

Every person that knows her sees this light within her soul.
I know that in this whole great world, she has a special role.
She's helpful and considerate to everyone she knows.
This light in her shines brighter as my angel grows.

I know that God must love me, He showed me with His Grace.
I knew just how completely when I saw my angel's face.
And in that very moment when she came into my world.
I knew that she was so much more than just my baby girl.

Thanksgiving 2010 - Part 1

Our family has much to be thankful for!
This Thanksgiving, we were able to spend time with both of our families. The first half of our break was spent with Ashley's family. Grandmother and Aub came at the beginning of the week and stayed with us to see Lyla's program. Grandmother went with the girls and me to the Thanksgiving dinner at church. We tried to get a few pictures of us together. After many tries and meltdowns, we finally got a few!

Then we traveled down south to Brantley and had a wonderful Thanksgiving lunch. I am so thankful to have such loving and caring in-laws. They are such wonderful grandparents to my girls! The girls love seeing "Grandmother" and "Aub"! Grandmother cooked a great lunch and was a great hostess to the family.

Ashley and Aub enjoying every bite!
Lola's FIRST Thanksgiving!
Lyla's loves Grandmother's noodles. That is her favorite!
.
And Lily LOVES Mema's mashed potatoes! She could eat the whole bowl! She kept saying, "More, more!"

Then it was picture time...

The Whole Clan!

Later I went outside and found this...

AND then found Lyla shooting a BB gun!!!

AND of course I had to give it a try and show off my skills... :)

...While Lily was enjoying teaching Aub about the IPod!

It was beautiful weather so we were able to enjoy the inside as well as the outside! Ashley even got a little hunting in! What a blessed time we had!
Thank you, Lord, for all of your many blessings!
