Family Beach Trip 2011

Wednesday, June 29, we were off to Panama City Beach for our annual family beach trip! We had a great time, and it was gorgeous while we were there.  Ashley and I had not been to PCB in a long time!  We were surprised to see the new Pier Park they have built there.  It is a great place to shop and hang out.  We stayed at Edgewater.  On the way to the beach, we made our stop in Brantley and ate lunch with Grandmother and Aub.  The girls loved playing in an old chair Ashley had when he was little.  They took turns spinning round and round!

After arriving and getting settled in our room, we went to eat dinner with Meme and Eli and then it was back for a little "night" swimming!  Lyla loved giving me silly faces!

Lily loved jumping in the water to Daddy!!

Thursday we spent most of the day on the beach!  The girls had a great day!  Meme was wonderful and helped us out with Lola so she could still get her nap in.

This was Lola's first time on the beach!  Last year, she was only weeks old when we went.  She loved the waves and the sand!  Lily too was getting more used to the sand and the waves.  Lily was still very weary of the water.  She had to be held the whole time, but she had a lot of fun!

Eli is a fish in the water!

Thursday night after eating dinner in the room, we went to play putt-putt before the crowds came in for the 4th.  We had a fun night of golf and go-carts!  Uncle Matthew arrived to go with us!

Friday morning, we were up and at 'em ready to hit the beach again.  We bought a big turtle float to ride the waves.  Daddy and the girls blew it up before we headed out for the day.

We had lunch on the beach...

Fun in the water...

Fun in the sand...

And yes, even some NAPS on the beach!

Lola LOVED the beach.  She loved the water.

She LOVED the sand!  She would crawl everywhere!

After the beach, we headed for some pool time!

Lyla practiced swimming.  She did a great job practicing under the water!

By Friday night, everyone had arrived!  Papa Charles, Uncle Mills, Aunt Michelle, and Uncle Mark!  The girls and Eli were ready to go Crab Hunting!  They got ready with flash lights galore and buckets!

We walked and walked but all we found were JELLYFISH!

Saturday, we again spent most of the day on the beach!  Lola napped while we had some fun.

Then she joined in...

We had a great day!  Every day we spent outside was beautiful!  Thank God for special memories such as these!

Family pictures on the beach to come!
